Parents and Grandparents Super Visa

Immigrants constitute a significant portion of the Canadian population. Leaving your parents, grandparents, siblings and other relatives to immigrate to Canada is never an easy decision, even though Canada has a lot to offer in terms of better education, health care, better job opportunities, etc.

Canadian Immigration understand how difficult it is to leave your extended family behind, that was the reason why they launched the Super Visa program. With a Super Visa, your parents and grandparents can stay in Canada longer compared to a visitor visa. It’s a multi-entry visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years. The application process can be completed entirely online. The main eligibility requirements for a Super Visa are:

You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

You must have a job or business that generates sufficient income for you and your family, and also be able to take care of your parents and grandparents when they visit you

You must purchase medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that is valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry and at least $100,000 coverage

Your parents and/or grandparents must take an immigration medical exam

Dependents cannot be included in the Super Visa application. The application fee is $100.
